Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this summer by providing essential occupational therapy services to students during the extended school year session. This short-term contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated OT who enjoys collaborating with educational teams and supporting students in reaching their individual goals. Your schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 12 pm, July 6 through July 31. You'll provide direct and consultative services to students with disabilities, ensuring their Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives are met during this vital summer period.
What You'll Do:
Deliver hands-on and consultative occupational therapy services as outlined in students' IEPs. Implement evidence-based interventions to promote fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and successful school participation. Accurately document each session, noting progress and maintaining records in compliance with required standards. Work closely with educators, related service providers, and families to coordinate support and ensure continuity of care. Adapt therapy materials and strategies to meet diverse student needs in both school and community-based environments.
What We're Looking For:
Current state licensure in Occupational Therapy. Experience providing OT services in a school setting. Familiarity with
IDEA, IEP
processes, and special education collaborative practices. Strong communication and documentation skills. Proactive and flexible clinical approach, with a commitment to student-centered care.
