Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students' growth this summer. This opportunity focuses on providing essential occupational therapy services during a four-week Extended School Year session. You'll make a significant impact by helping students with disabilities meet their Individualized Education Program goals through targeted interventions and collaborative practices. Work in a focused setting from July 6 to July 31, Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 12 pm, allowing for a balanced summer schedule with your afternoons free. Your expertise will be valued as you support dedicated educators and families in nurturing student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services according to IEP requirements. Employ evidence-based techniques to promote fine motor development, sensory integration, self-care skills, and participation in school routines. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including session notes and compliance logs. Work closely with special education staff, other related service providers, and families to ensure seamless care and support. Adapt instructional materials and activities for diverse student needs in both school and community environments.
Qualifications:
Current, valid occupational therapy state licensure. Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy (required). Understanding of IDEA and the IEP development and service delivery process. Ability to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to supporting students' progress in a meaningful way.
