3-4 days per week
Compensation:
$60•70 per hour (based on experience) We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide maternity leave coverage in a supportive and collaborative school district in North Caldwell, New Jersey . This is a great opportunity for a pediatric OT who enjoys helping students reach their potential while working closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students with disabilities and special education needs within the school environment. Position Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Conduct standardized, functional, and sensory processing evaluations, including comprehensive written reports and measurable goals. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence, participation, and success in the classroom. Support students with fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, executive functioning, and daily living skills. Provide classroom strategies, accommodations, adaptive equipment recommendations, and home programs as appropriate. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, school psychologists, Child Study Team members, administrators, and other multidisciplinary team members. Participate in IEP meetings, annual reviews, eligibility meetings, reevaluations, and team discussions. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal requirements. Qualifications Current New Jersey Occupational Therapist license. New Jersey Department of Education School Certification required. Pediatric experience required. Previous school-based experience preferred. Fingerprinting and criminal background clearance required. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
