Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type All Job Types Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a per diem Occupational Therapist providing essential support to a home instruction student through the end of the school year. Located near Toms River, NJ, this role is ideal for professionals experienced in school-based or home health OT who are passionate about flexible, impactful work with students in a home setting. As the OT for this assignment, you will deliver 19 owed sessions tailored to the specific needs of one student, working closely with the family to optimize progress and convenience. The position starts immediately and runs through June 30th, allowing you to make a vital difference within a defined timeframe.
What We're Looking For:
Licensed Occupational Therapist in New Jersey Experience with school-based OT, home health, or both Skilled in adapting OT interventions for home instruction settings Strong communication abilities, especially in collaborating with parents and caregivers Organized and self-motivated, capable of managing per diem assignments and student progress documentation Familiarity with IEPs and related documentation preferred
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to a home instruction student Complete the 19 required sessions by June 30th Coordinate and schedule sessions in collaboration with the student's parents Document progress and maintain compliance with all school and district requirements Employ evidence-based interventions to address the student's goals Communicate effectively with the student's support team to ensure continuity of care This assignment offers flexibility in scheduling and the chance to tailor your approach within a home learning environment.
