Job Description

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in West Orange, NJ. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in home health settings to help them regain or improve daily skills following injury, illness, or disability. This role involves working with a diverse patient population across Morris and Essex counties and requires accountability, patience, and clear communication. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy license required. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in home health, acute, or subacute settings. BLS certification may be required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Ability to evaluate and treat home health patients and document to meet productivity expectations (30 points). Must be able to travel within assigned coverage areas and reimbursements will be provided for mileage between visits. Preferred Qualifications Experience specifically in homecare preferred. Demonstrated accountability, strong communication skills, and patience preferred. Familiarity with productivity expectations and agency documentation preferred.
Assignment Details Shift hours:
0800-1600 as listed; schedule noted as
M-F 0800-1630
in client order notes.
Weekly guarantee:
40 hours. Coverage areas include Morris and Essex counties. One weekend per month may be required when possible. Mileage reimbursed between first and last patient visits.
