Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' growth and success as a part-time Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year! This flexible contract position is located near Las Vegas, NM, and offers a unique opportunity to provide vital school-based OT services across five school sites. Over this assignment, beginning in early August 2026 and running through late May 2027, you'll help students access the educational resources and functional skills they need to thrive.
Qualifications and Experience:
New Mexico Occupational Therapy license in good standing required Previous experience in school-based or pediatric OT strongly preferred Excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families Well-developed organizational skills to balance caseload responsibilities and maintain records
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver on-site occupational therapy aligned with students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals Conduct evaluations, meaningful therapy sessions, and monitor student progress Partner with educational teams and families to foster supportive learning environments Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and therapy standards Help students access curriculum and participate fully in school activities across multiple sites This part-time position involves approximately 20 hours per week, allowing you to make a real difference while maintaining work-life balance.
