Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise to a welcoming educational environment near Reno, NV, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting students' success as a contract Occupational Therapist for the 2025-2026 school year. Enjoy working full-time (37.5 hours per week) in 1-2 school locations with a varied caseload of 50-55 students, spanning elementary to secondary levels. This dynamic role focuses on traditional OT responsibilities including therapy sessions, assessments, and evaluations.
What You'll Need:
Current and valid NV Occupational Therapy license Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience preferred Ability to provide comprehensive OT services: evaluations, direct treatment, and participation in IEP team processes Strong communication and documentation skills Flexibility and organizational skills to support an itinerant schedule Willingness to participate in training sessions on the district's IEP system (training provided) Commitment to evidence-based practice in diverse school settings
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group OT therapy in educational settings Complete thorough assessments and maintain accurate records Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on students' therapy goals Develop and implement goals within the IEP process Document progress towards goals in compliance with district requirements Travel between assigned school sites as necessary Engage in paid administrative time for meetings and documentation
