Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding educational environment near Sparks, NV, as a contracted school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time role supports students across 1-2 sites district-wide with a diverse caseload (elementary and secondary, 50-55 students). You'll play a vital part in enriching students' day-to-day experiences by delivering therapy and assessments, driving progress through collaboration, and contributing to an inclusive school community.
Key Qualifications:
Active Nevada OT license (required) Prior experience or strong interest in school-based OT services Aptitude for serving both elementary and secondary student populations Competency in evaluations, developing IEPs, and managing case documentation Adaptability for itinerant assignments and district-wide engagement
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive occupational therapy interventions, assessments, and evaluations Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating closely with educators and families Gather data, document progress, and maintain compliance with district guidelines Travel between assigned school locations as needed (paid travel) Engage in indirect hours for administrative duties and paid team meetings Work independently while integrating into a supportive, multidisciplinary team This is an opportunity to expand your school-based expertise and impact, with structured training on the district's IEP system and accessible spaces dedicated for therapy.
