Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Become an essential part of a supportive school community as an Occupational Therapist through an exciting contract opportunity. Make a meaningful impact by enhancing student success and independence through thoughtful interventions and collaborative strategies.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active OT license for school-based practice Previous experience in a school environment preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to design individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs Passion for fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere
Areas of Responsibility:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, focusing on academic access, functional skills, and independence Conduct evaluations to identify student needs and develop tailored intervention strategies Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support for students Maintain clear documentation, progress reports, and uphold compliance with school and state guidelines Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise for student planning Offer training and resources to staff and families to reinforce skills outside of therapy sessions
