Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' growth and success as a school-based occupational therapist in a dynamic educational environment near Angola, NY. Contribute your expertise to help young learners thrive academically, socially, and independently through individualized and group interventions. This is an excellent contract opportunity for those passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children within a supportive school setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapy license in New York State Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is strongly preferred Solid knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and compliance requirements Superior communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to adapt in a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals Conduct assessments to determine students' functional abilities and needs within the educational setting Develop and implement targeted interventions to enhance students' participation and independence in school activities Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other related service professionals Maintain detailed documentation of students' progress and regularly communicate with parents and staff Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of effective support plans By bringing your skills to this contract position, you'll work closely with a collaborative team devoted to student-centered care.
