Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an exciting contract opportunity to empower young learners as an Occupational Therapist supporting an elementary caseload. This summer assignment is perfect for professionals eager to make a difference in a school-based environment while enjoying a balanced schedule.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing direct therapy services to elementary-aged students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) Assessing students' abilities, setting therapeutic goals, and documenting progress throughout the assignment Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to optimize each student's experience and outcomes Designing and implementing engaging interventions to support fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills Managing caseload documentation in compliance with local and federal regulations To thrive in this role, ideal candidates have: A current New York Occupational Therapy license Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary students Strong communication and collaboration skills The ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet varied student needs Excellent organization and time management abilities This opportunity runs from July 6th, 2026, through August 14th, 2026, with working hours from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm, supporting a consistent daily routine.
