Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity serving students as an Occupational Therapist in a supportive school-based setting near Brockport, NY. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference, collaborating with educators and families to empower children to reach their greatest potential.
Key Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license for New York State Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment is highly desirable Strong assessment, communication, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Skilled in developing and implementing IEP goals for diverse learners Enthusiastic, flexible, and dedicated to fostering student success
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP requirements Conduct evaluations and ongoing assessments of student needs and progress Develop individualized intervention plans tailored to support academic participation and daily living activities Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to adapt classroom activities and environments Document therapy sessions, track student outcomes, and maintain thorough, compliant records Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight to student planning Offer training and resources to staff and caregivers supporting students' therapeutic goals
