Job Description
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) Consultant The Arc Columbia-Saratoga is seeking a qualified Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide consultation services within our Preschool Program. This consultant role supports young children in developing the skills necessary to participate successfully in educational and daily activities while collaborating with families and interdisciplinary team members. Position Details Consultant Position Approximately 16 hours per week 2-3 days per week $70.00 per hour Flexible schedule Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy consultation and support within the Preschool Program. Evaluate and assess children's fine motor, sensory processing, self-help, and developmental skills as appropriate. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support children's developmental goals. Develop recommendations and strategies to promote participation and independence in educational activities. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized service planning. Maintain professional documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and professional standards. Ensure services are provided in compliance with New York State requirements, agency policies, and ethical standards. Qualifications Current New York State Occupational Therapist license required. Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development, sensory integration, and school-based occupational therapy practices.
