Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist, providing crucial services during both Extended School Year (ESY) and Normal School Year (NSY) periods. This position, located near Hudson, NY, offers a fulfilling mix of hands-on intervention and the chance to mentor peers in a collaborative school-based setting. You'll play a key role in guiding a close-knit team of professionals, making an immediate impact as the need for support is urgent.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Active NY Occupational Therapist Registration (OTR) Prior experience in school settings, home health, and teletherapy Strong background in healthcare-related OT practices Demonstrated ability to supervise or mentor other therapists Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven leadership qualities; ability to foster teamwork
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to students during ESY (3 hours/day, 15 hours/week from 8-11am) and NSY (37.5-40 hours/week) Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to optimize student outcomes Oversee, supervise, and support other Occupational Therapists on the team, ensuring best practices and cohesive communication Participate in the development and implementation of individualized plans, documentation, and progress tracking Prioritize student engagement and participation, adapting interventions as needed Contribute to a positive, supportive school culture
