Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity serving elementary and middle school students as an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year. This full-time, on-site position is based near Rochester, NY, and offers a dynamic environment supporting approximately 20 students. By providing expertise in school-based settings, you'll make a lasting impact on young learners' educational journeys while developing your professional skills alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Key Qualifications:
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Experience in schools, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy environments Background working with pediatric populations, especially in educational settings, is highly valued Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
What You'll Do:
Deliver individualized and group OT services to students in elementary and middle school Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' IEP goals Assess and document student progress; write and update reports as required Offer consultation and recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insight and advocating for student needs Maintain thorough records in compliance with school and state standards Compensation for this role starts at $47 per hour or higher, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include weekly direct deposit, and eligibility for stipends in housing and meals for those qualified as travelers.
