For 80 years, we have been one of upstate New York's largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere. The Center for Disability Services is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Summer School Program in Schenectady, NY!
Program Dates:
Summer Program:
July 8th - August 21st
Orientation Dates:
July 7th & 8th This position works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members including teachers, teacher assistants, school districts, and families to ensure quality, state-of-the-art, cost effective services to all students.
Responsibilities:
Provides quality occupational therapy services Assesses current level of function Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan Maintains complete and accurate clinical documentation Evaluates treatment outcomes and modifies treatment plans as needed Completes student evaluation as assigned, which include initial evaluations, reevaluations, and wheelchair evaluations Completes report cards and annual student reviews Supervises assigned Occupational Therapy Assistants or student interns as needed Reviews and cosigns documentation completed by Occupational Therapy Assistants and students as assigned Communicates with interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, vendors, school districts and county service providers Maintains clinical and professional knowledge base Complies with Federal, State and local legal and professional requirements
Requirements:
Masters degree in field of Occupational Therapy Specialized training, license, certification, skills: Current NYS Licensure as an Occupational Therapist Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds At the Center for Disability Services, we don't just accept difference - we celebrate it, support it, and thrive on it for the benefit of our employees and the people we support. Compensation Range:
$72,255.87 - $78,937.68 For over 80 years, the Center for Disability Services has served as a trusted community leader, providing innovative programs and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities here in the Capital Region and North Country.
