Job Description

Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in New York Experience providing OT services within a school setting strongly preferred Ability to design, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans for students Strong communication and collaboration skills, working with educators, families, and other specialists Proficiency in conducting assessments, documenting progress, and supporting IEP development
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and federal/state regulations Complete assessments and maintain detailed records of student progress Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to optimize student support and program effectiveness Develop and implement interventions to improve students' fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical expertise to multidisciplinary teams Deliver consultative support to school staff for classroom modifications and strategies Engage in professional development to keep skills current and evidence-based This role provides an approachable, welcoming school environment where your creativity and knowledge are valued.
