Job Description
Occupational Therapist Ticonderoga, NY A skilled nursing facility in Ticonderoga, New York (near Lake George) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services to geriatric and subacute residents. As a member of the rehabilitation team, you will help residents achieve their highest level of independence and functional ability. Both experienced therapists and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Schedule Full time, weekdays, with some weekend and holiday coverage. Compensation $40.00 to $60.00 per hour, depending on experience. What You'll Do You will initiate skilled occupational therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and maintain required physician communication. You will complete and maintain written evaluations, progress notes, MDS documentation, and discharge summaries, and you will record, update, and monitor resident care plans. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to address residents' rehabilitation and functional maintenance needs, and participate in Resident Care Planning meetings, attending in the absence of the Director of Occupational Therapy when needed. You will maintain statistical records of resident treatments and therapy outcomes, and assist with in-service education and training programs upon request. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Current New York State Occupational Therapy license Interest in working with geriatric and subacute populations using a team-based approach Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to supervise and direct others when necessary Preferred Qualifications Two years of occupational therapy experience Experience with MDS documentation in a skilled nursing setting Experience working with chronically ill residents Compensation and Benefits Pay range of $40.00 to $60.00 per hour, depending on experience $15,000 sign-on bonus 401(k) with employer match Shift differentials Gas allowance stipend Tuition assistance program for clinical tracks Continuing education benefit of up to $1,000 annually (based on tenure) Employee referral program Comprehensive benefits package To apply, submit your resume through the application link.
