Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic opportunity to make a lasting impact supporting students in a forward-thinking educational environment near Valatie, NY. We're searching for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OTR) to provide essential services during both the Extended School Year (ESY) and the regular New School Year (NSY) schedules. This contract role offers the unique chance to shape student success, lead a skilled OT team, and potentially continue your journey in the following school years based on performance.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid New York Occupational Therapy license (OTR) Proven experience in school-based, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy OT settings Strong leadership skills and a collaborative mindset Capability to supervise and mentor other Occupational Therapists Commitment to delivering compassionate, student-centered care Availability for ESY schedule (8-11am, 15 hours/week) and full NSY hours (37.5-40 hours/week) Effective communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver OT services in accordance with student IEPs, school policies, and clinical best practices Lead and supervise fellow OTs, fostering a positive and cohesive team environment Work closely with educators, administrators, and families to support student goals Document progress and communicate effectively with all stakeholders Support both on-site and virtual service delivery as needed
