Heritage Therapy provides high-quality physical, occupational, and speech therapies and rehabilitation at many of our Embassy Healthcare communities. We strive to help patients reach their maximum potential so they can live as independently as possible. Our experienced therapists work closely with patients and their caregivers to build customized rehabilitation programs tailored to each individual's needs. Join our in-house therapy team! Our facility in Bedford is 75 beds including a vent and trach unit. The therapy staff and interdisciplinary team strive to create a comprehensive care plan that is unique to each short-term or long-term patient. The therapy gym is spacious and equipped with all the tools that a therapist needs to provide the most effective treatment interventions.

• Occupational Therapist Job Description

• Duties:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and in alignment with patient goals.
• Provide hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance patient recovery and functional abilities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment strategies, home exercises, and preventive measures.

• Skills:

• Possess a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment decisions effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while upholding high standards of patient care.
• Active state licensure as a Occupational Therapist is required; eligibility for licensure will also be considered.
