Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapy

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide wide-ranging services to help patients regain their ability to perform normal activities, self-care and responsibilities. In this role, you will focus on treating primarily post-surgical patients as well as patients with tennis elbow and carpal tunnel . This is the perfect opportunity for a caregiver who is interested in hand therapy and is passionate about assisting patients in relearning necessary skills to lead independent, productive and satisfying lives. A caregiver in this position works varying days/hours from 7:30AM

• 5:30PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will: Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits which impact their abilities to successfully perform independent living skills. Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills . Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment. Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities . Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress. Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed. Seek consultation as necessary. Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and OT practice standards. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Experience in a clinical area Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Considerations:

All employees are required to be aware of all MSDS considerations for this position which identifies all items in their particular area that fall into this category. Each employee will be educated regarding the location of their department's MSDS manual.

Pay Range Minimum hourly:

$50.00 Maximum hourly: $50.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
