Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at BeKids Pediatric Therapy. Duties Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on their specific conditions and goals. Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities. Collaborate with and provide clinical direction to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) responsible for implementing prescribed interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care. Educate patients and their families about treatment options, exercises, and strategies for daily living. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy through continuous education and professional development. Qualifications A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist. Knowledge of anatomy and its application in therapeutic practices. Experience in pediatrics; familiarity with school settings is a plus. Background in outpatient care is highly desirable. Understanding of occupational health principles and practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
