Job Description
Occupational Therapist Duties:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide occupational therapy services to clients, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as speech therapists and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Educate clients and their families on strategies for improving daily functioning and independence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to assess clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Proficient in conducting evaluations and using assessment tools
- Strong problem-solving skills to address clients' challenges and develop creative solutions
