School Occupational Therapist | Lorain, Ohio Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Lorain, OH Job Details Contract 6 days ago Qualifications Master's degree Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. This contract opportunity near Lorain, OH, offers the chance to deliver essential therapy services while fostering growth and independence among students.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Ohio Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school environment Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs), related documentation, and compliance processes Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Adaptability and resourcefulness in addressing a range of student needs Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to evaluate students' motor, sensory, adaptive, and functional skills Develop and implement therapy interventions tailored to each student's IEP goals Collaborate with educators, parents, and other therapists to ensure cohesive support Maintain accurate and timely records of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment sessions Provide input and recommendations to the IEP team for enhancing student access to the curriculum Offer training and guidance to school staff on strategies and adaptive tools for classroom success Support inclusive participation and reduce barriers to learning for all students Enjoy working in a collaborative school community where you can shape students' educational journeys.
