Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and independence as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position serves K-8 students with a manageable caseload of 18, ensuring you can provide individualized attention and quality intervention. With a total of 3,260 minutes per quarter and a maximum schedule of 12 hours per week, you'll enjoy a balanced workload while making a meaningful difference. Your expertise will be valued across multiple settings, drawing on your background in schools, healthcare, and home health. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Current Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure in Ohio Previous experience working in school settings, with K-8 preferred Familiarity with IEP development and implementation Versatility to practice in school, healthcare, and home health environments Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and support staff Organizational skills to manage documentation, scheduling, and service delivery effectively
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services to K-8 students on your caseload Complete evaluations, create individualized goals, and contribute to IEP meetings Track service minutes and progress for approximately 3,260 minutes per quarter Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to optimize student participation in school routines Provide home health or carry-over recommendations as needed This contract role provides flexibility and the chance to focus on student impact without overwhelming demands.
