Qualifications and Experiences Desired:
Valid Occupational Therapist license for Ohio Experience with school-based OT services and IEP processes Ability to provide support across settings—on campus, in homes, or via teletherapy Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and support staff Flexibility to adapt interventions to diverse student needs and environments Previous exposure to healthcare or community settings preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough screenings, evaluations, and ongoing assessments for students Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's learning goals Partner with multidisciplinary teams to craft strategies that foster student independence Provide direct OT interventions in-person, in-home, and/or through teletherapy mediums Educate and coach teachers and caregivers on practical supports and accommodations Document progress and maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines Engage in regular meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current This contract position allows for meaningful one-to-one time with students, creative freedom in developing interventions, and the ability to see real progress unfold.
