Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting K-12 students as a full-time Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents while working with a collaborative education team. With a well-structured Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week, you'll provide both direct and indirect therapy services—without additional duties like bus duty or parent pickup.
Key Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapist license in the state Experience delivering therapy services in schools, preferably K-12 settings Strong understanding of IEPs and special education processes Effective communication skills for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families Adaptability to work with diverse student populations and varying needs Commitment to documentation and compliance standards
Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students' functional abilities within the school environment Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals Deliver therapeutic interventions directly to students and consult with educational staff Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and maintain thorough records Serve as a resource for school personnel about sensory and motor skills development Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-focused planning
