Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A part-time opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based telehealth services, located in John Day, OR. This role involves delivering teletherapy to support students across 4-5 small rural school districts through an Education Service District (ESD). The position requires a commitment of 12-15 hours per week, managing a caseload of 15-20 students.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing occupational therapy services via telehealth to students in school settings Conducting evaluations, treatment sessions, and consultations as required Collaborating closely with teachers and parents to support student progress Managing student minutes with some sessions occurring monthly and additional consultative support Preferred qualifications and experience: Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy is highly desirable Strong skills in delivering teletherapy and telehealth services for pediatric populations Ability to work effectively with rural districts and across multiple sites Excellent communication skills fostering collaboration with educational staff and families Working within small rural districts offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in student health and academic success.
