Job Description
JOB:
Occupational Therapist Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work with patients to help them achieve their maximum potential in daily living and working activities. You will assess patients' needs, develop personalized care plans, and implement therapeutic interventions across various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, inpatient care, and pediatrics. Your expertise in medical terminology and anatomy will be essential as you collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families about treatment options and strategies for improvement. Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide support for patients with various conditions, including geriatrics, autism, and disabilities. Requirements Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid PA licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Experience working in skilled nursing facilities or inpatient settings is preferred. Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Experience working with diverse populations, including pediatrics and individuals with disabilities or autism. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.Job Type:
