Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a real difference in students' lives by providing essential occupational therapy services in a school setting near Boyertown, PA. Work as part of a supportive educational team, addressing the diverse needs of students while enjoying the flexibility of a contract position. This is a wonderful opportunity to use your expertise in school-based OT practices, helping students develop the skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active OT license in Pennsylvania (or eligibility for licensure) Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation Knowledge of evaluation tools for pediatric or school-aged populations Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other therapists Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs within the school environment Develop and implement customized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students, both individually and in groups Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary team members Provide recommendations for classroom adaptations and assistive devices Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communications Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning discussions Perks of this
