Flexible Day Shifts About Us Newport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, located in Christiana, PA, is a skilled nursing facility committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. We are currently seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This role is ideal for a compassionate, experienced therapist looking to make a meaningful impact with a flexible schedule. Key Responsibilities Address patient needs related to daily living and functional independence Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions Deliver occupational therapy services to enhance safety, mobility, and performance in ADLs and IADLs Teach patients adaptive strategies and task modifications to improve engagement Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment Educate family members and caregivers on home care strategies Document patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries Maintain communication with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care Follow up on patient progress and adjust interventions as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Pennsylvania Strong clinical knowledge of therapeutic principles and treatment methods Familiarity with ADL evaluation tools and adaptive equipment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred What We Offer In-house therapy team with a focus on clinical excellence Supportive and collaborative interdisciplinary work environment Flexible PRN scheduling based on your availability Streamlined electronic documentation system Opportunity to work in a resident-centered, values-driven facility Newport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
