Occupational Therapist, Summer Opportunity, Part Time TeleVine Therapy Danville, PA Job Details Part-time $30 - $50 an hour 6 days ago Benefits Travel reimbursement Flexible schedule Qualifications Working with individuals with developmental disabilities Bachelor of Science Working with children Bachelor's degree Occupational Therapy Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description We are looking for a committed and client-focused Occupational Therapist to develop, the daily living skills of children with physical, mental or developmental conditions. You will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable children to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities. The successful candidate will have an holistic perspective and will be able to adapt the environment to fit the person. Responsibilities Evaluate pediatric patients to assess fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, self-care, feeding, and developmental skills. Develop individualized treatment plans based on child's needs, physician referrals, family goals, and clinical findings. Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to infants, children, and adolescents with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, sensory, or behavioral challenges. Implement therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills, handwriting, coordination, attention, emotional regulation, play skills, and independence. Provide parent coaching and home exercise programs. Address feeding therapy, sensory processing disorders, and developmental delays. Conduct sensory integration and sensory-motor interventions when appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, progress notes, evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Monitor progress and modify treatment goals and interventions as needed. Participate in meetings and care coordination activities. Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, splinting, or environmental modifications to support functional participation. Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic treatment environment. Comply with all state licensure requirements, HIPAA regulations, safety standards, and professional ethics guidelines. Supervise occupational therapy assistants, as needed Support patient scheduling, attendance tracking, and continuity of care efforts. Stay current with pediatric occupational therapy best practices through continuing education and professional development. Skills Proven working experience as occupational therapist Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools ( e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale) Ability to manage children of all ages with different types of personalities Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession Excellent interpersonal communication skills Valid licence to practice occupational therapy BS degree or greater in occupational therapy
