Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Bring your expertise in pediatric occupational therapy to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners in an early intervention setting. In this role, you will serve as an itinerant OT, traveling to various preschools throughout the area and making a positive impact on children during their formative years. With a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, you'll collaborate with dedicated educators and families while building practical, hands-on experience working with a diverse caseload of preschoolers.
Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license in the state Prior experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Knowledge of early intervention models and best practices Ability to adapt interventions for young children in different preschool environments Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with school staff and families Current clearances and eligibility as mandated by state or district guidelines Only current school year applicants will be consideredKey Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to preschool-aged students in an itinerant model, traveling between multiple sites Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support children's participation and success Support the development of fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills through integrated therapy Maintain compliance with all documentation, reporting, and confidentiality requirements This position offers the chance to become an essential part of children's educational journeys, using your clinical knowledge to foster independence and skill development.
