Job Description

Category Schools - Orientation and Mobility Specialist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for Orientation and Mobility Specialists to support multiple school districts within Washington County, PA. This full-time contract position runs from ASAP until 6/16/26, providing a caseload serving K-12 students across various districts. The role is based onsite, with some flexibility for virtual work depending on district requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver orientation and mobility services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. Travel between multiple district locations within Washington County to provide direct support. Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized mobility plans. Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings related to student progress. Adapt services to meet the diverse needs of students and comply with state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) educator certification. Proven experience working as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist with K-12 students. Ability and willingness to travel between school sites regularly. Strong communication and organizational skills. Comfort with onsite work; openness to occasional virtual service delivery is a plus.

Washington County, Pennsylvania, with multiple district sites requiring travel.
