Job Description

Header Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist, where your expertise will empower individuals of all ages to achieve independence and improve their quality of life. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs tailored to each patient's unique needs. Whether working in our outpatient clinic, schools, or home settings, you'll be at the forefront of delivering evidence-based interventions that foster functional skills and promote overall well-being. Your passion for patient-centered care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or recovering from injury or illness. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, sensory processing, and daily living activities (ADLs). Develop and implement individualized care plans that align with patients' goals and medical needs. Assist patients with activities such as functional play, self-regulation, dressing, grooming, feeding, and other essential daily tasks to promote independence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and case managers to coordinate care. Support discharge planning by preparing patients and caregivers for transitions. Work with individuals across various populations. Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently in compliance with healthcare standards. Provide education and training to patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment use. Participate in case management activities to ensure comprehensive patient support throughout their recovery or development process. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; licensure or certification required by state or country regulations. Proven experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics or other care environments. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice principles. Experience assisting with discharge planning, and case management processes. Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Ability to work effectively in settings like school facilities as well as outpatient clinics or home health environments. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients' families or caregivers. Pay:
$55.00 - $70.00 per hour
