- Part-time Part-Time Vision Therapist (Apprenticeship Role with Growth Opportunity) Join the Team at Miami Vision Therapy Miami Vision Therapy is a specialty optometric practice dedicated to helping children and adults overcome visual challenges that impact reading, learning, attention, sports performance, and daily life.
We are currently seeking a compassionate, energetic, and motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Vision Therapist . This is an apprenticeship-style role with structured training and mentorship provided. No prior vision therapy experience is required. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, is eager to learn, and wants to grow within a meaningful healthcare profession. What Is Vision Therapy? Vision therapy is a personalized program designed to improve how the eyes and brain work together. Many patients have visual difficulties that cannot be corrected with glasses alone, including problems with: Eye teaming and coordination Eye tracking and visual attention Focusing skills Eye-hand coordination Visual processing and visual memory As a Vision Therapist, you will work one-on-one with patients through engaging, hands-on activities that help strengthen these visual skills and build confidence in school, sports, work, and everyday life.

Training & Growth Path You will begin by shadowing and assisting experienced Vision Therapists while learning therapy activities, patient flow, documentation, and patient interaction skills. As your training progresses, you will gradually transition into independently conducting therapy sessions. There is strong potential for this role to grow into a larger part-time or full-time position with additional responsibilities and benefits over time. Primary Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one vision therapy sessions using established protocols Guide patients through therapy activities tailored to their needs Prepare and organize therapy materials before sessions Document patient progress and session notes accurately Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and caregivers Collaborate with doctors and therapists regarding patient progress Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities Additional Responsibilities Assist with scheduling and basic administrative tasks Help maintain organization of therapy rooms and materials Support office operations as needed Qualifications Experience working with children preferred (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, etc.) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Comfortable learning new systems and techniques Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and organization Why Join Miami Vision Therapy?
