Occupational Therapist (Part-Time - 3 Days/Week)

Nuestro Mundo Public Charter School, Providence, RI About Nuestro Mundo Public Charter School Nuestro Mundo Public Charter School is a dual language (Spanish/English) public charter school serving a diverse community of learners in Providence, Rhode Island. Our mission is to prepare students for academic success and bilingualism while fostering cultural awareness, equity, and a strong sense of community. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Occupational Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). The Occupational Therapist will support students in developing the skills necessary for participation in school activities, with a focus on fine motor development, sensory integration, and functional independence. Key Responsibilities Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to determine student needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and related service providers Support classroom staff with strategies to meet students' sensory and motor needs Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development Communicate effectively with families and school staff Attend MTSS meetings as needed Qualifications Master's degree or OTD in Occupational Therapy Current Rhode Island Occupational Therapy license NBCOT certification required Experience working in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of sensory integration and school-based interventions Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team Schedule
