Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) seeking a full-time contract assignment in a school-based setting near Woonsocket, RI. This role requires expertise in working with students on a high-needs caseload, making a significant difference in their academic and personal growth. With the support of provided safety care training, you'll work in a collaborative educational environment that values your specialized skills.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure Prior experience in school settings or with pediatric populations strongly preferred Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students Strong communication and team collaboration abilities Reliable, flexible, and compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
Manage OT services for a high-needs caseload, providing targeted interventions in accordance with students' IEPs Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster optimal student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation on student goals and progress Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom adaptations Attend ongoing safety care training to ensure best practices in supporting students Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe school culture
