Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to make a meaningful difference for elementary students in a supportive educational environment. This contract role focuses on providing high-quality OT services to students across designated school sites in the Darlington and Hartsville areas. As you engage with both direct therapy and consultative services, you'll play a key part in helping students achieve their educational and developmental goals throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements Ability to manage a diverse caseload of 50-60 students, primarily elementary age Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to each student's IEP needs Accurately complete OT portions of IEP paperwork, including present levels and progress reports Develop individualized OT goals and chart student growth Fulfill all necessary Medicaid billing documentation related to OT services Participate in IEP meetings, consultations with teachers, and ongoing team communication to support student success Adapt therapy interventions for both direct and consult models, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness for each student This position provides an opportunity to make a powerful impact in the lives of young learners while building professional relationships within the education community.
