Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a difference supporting students' growth with this contract-based assignment as a school occupational therapist. This opportunity is perfectly suited for professionals passionate about helping elementary students reach key developmental milestones. School assignments may rotate, but current openings are available for the Darlington area and the Hartsville area, with Hartsville placements likely including early childhood and elementary campuses. Caseloads typically consist of 50 to 60 students, encompassing both direct services and consultative support. There is some flexibility as sites and caseloads are organized at the beginning of the academic year.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license Experience in school-based settings, especially with elementary-aged children Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation Ability to complete Medicaid billing paperwork accurately and timely Excellent communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with student IEPs Participate in the IEP process, including progress monitoring, reporting present levels of performance, and developing therapy-related goals Carry out regular Medicaid billing documentation for eligible services Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive student care Consult and support teams for students receiving consultative OT services This contract role offers meaningful work, the chance to be part of a supportive school environment, and the opportunity to positively impact children's lives at a pivotal stage in their education.
