Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current South Carolina Occupational Therapist license SC Educator Certification (active and required) Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy; home health, teletherapy, and general healthcare backgrounds also valued Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt interventions and support across a diverse K-12 student population
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students and contribute to eligibility decisions Develop individualized and measurable therapeutic goals, tailored to each student's needs Participate in, and when needed, lead Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as the OT specialist Deliver direct OT services as defined by IEPs, focusing on improving each child's access and success in the school environment Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and service logs in compliance with school and state requirements Communicate regularly with team members, teachers, and families to ensure integrated student support Travel time is compensated, and additional details regarding mileage reimbursement are being confirmed Experience a role where your impact resonates through the academic and personal achievements of the students you serve.
