Key Skills and Experience:
Certified Occupational Therapist with valid licensure. Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred. Strong understanding of IEP goals, assessments, and documentation processes. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families. Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities. Passion for facilitating student independence, participation, and success.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' needs using appropriate evaluation tools and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide direct therapy services to students as specified in IEPs. Collaborate with teachers to incorporate therapeutic strategies into the classroom. Participate in multi-disciplinary IEP meetings and contribute expertise on student progress and recommendations. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines. Educate families and staff on strategies to support students' therapeutic needs.
