Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students' growth through occupational therapy in a lively, collaborative school environment. This contract opportunity places you at the heart of educational support, with caseloads ranging from 50 to 60 students—including some on consult services. Assignments are determined at the start of the year, with current needs in both Darlington and Hartsville area schools. In Hartsville, placements may include Southside Early Childhood Center, Carolina Elementary, and Thornwell Elementary.
Desired Background and Experience:
Valid OT licensure in South Carolina School-based occupational therapy experience preferred Comfort working with elementary-age students Familiarity with IEP documentation and participating in multi-disciplinary teams Solid organizational and communication abilities Experience with Medicaid billing (or willingness to learn) Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with each student's IEP Document progress, present levels, and support the development of OT goals for IEP meetings Complete Medicaid billing paperwork as required Consult on services and provide guidance to classroom staff Adapt therapy interventions creatively to meet diverse student needs Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students
