Occupational Therapist Alta Heights Post Acute Goodlettsville, TN Job Details PRN $43.43 - $52.30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Skilled nursing facility experience Inpatient Working with individuals with autism Outpatient Post-acute care experience Full Job Description Overview The Staff Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients, communicates with families, physicians and other health team members and maintains documentation of services in the medical records. Conducts in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to determine their needs and goals Develop and implement tailored treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, and sensory processing Assist patients with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings Provide therapy services for individuals with autism, disabilities, geriatrics, pediatrics, or those recovering from acute or post-acute care episodes Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, care plans, and case management records in compliance with healthcare standards Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and functional assessment techniques Experience working in inpatient settings such as hospitals or skilled nursing facilities with ICU and acute care exposure Proficiency in early intervention programs and school-based therapy for pediatric populations Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to diverse needs including geriatrics, disabilities, outpatient clinics, home health, and outpatient therapy environments Skilled in case management practices to coordinate comprehensive patient care and discharge strategies Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients or families Familiarity with speech therapy principles is a plus for integrated treatment approaches Join us to make a meaningful difference by empowering individuals through expert occupational therapy services.
