Schedule/Hours:
Travel/contract assignment (details offered during interview process)
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Texas (or eligibility for licensure) Experience in hospital, critical illness, or rehabilitation settings preferred Skilled in safe patient handling, infectious disease protocols, and materials handling Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Team-oriented, resourceful, and committed to continuous improvement Experience supervising OTAs, COTAs, or students is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Assess each patient's functional level and develop individualized treatment plans Execute evidence-based OT interventions aimed at regaining independence and quality of life Participate in interdisciplinary care, contributing to patient safety and positive outcomes Lead and supervise OT assistants, students, or new team members as needed Coordinate discharge planning, including patient/family education and equipment needs Maintain thorough and accurate patient records; submit daily progress notes within set timeframes Uphold hospital guidelines for appearance, attendance, and punctuality Demonstrate continuous commitment to safety and quality improvement initiatives
