, a home-based provider of pediatric Speech , Occupational , and Physical Therapy services, has an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to serve families in Cedar Creek, Texas and the surrounding areas . This PRN, Part-Time or Full-Time position is based in our Austin division . In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those who are bilingual. While this adds a layer of complexity, it also enriches your experience and allows you to develop valuable skills in cross-cultural communication. What you'll do:- Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients' needs for therapy.
- Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders.
- Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients' caregivers.
- Act as a vital member of your patients' medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
- Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
- Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
- Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy. Qualifications What you'll need:
- A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.
- An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
- Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
- Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).
Bonus points for:
- 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
- Experience in a home-health setting.
- Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
