Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students while advancing your career in occupational therapy! An exciting contract opportunity is available for a school-based Occupational Therapist to support students' development and success in an engaging educational setting for the 2026/2027 school year. This position is tailored for those who are passionate about helping children overcome physical, emotional, or developmental challenges within an academic environment.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Valid OT license in the state of Texas Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to design student-centered therapy plans and work proactively with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional abilities to determine needs and appropriate therapy interventions Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to promote student participation and achievement in school activities Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student goals Provide direct and consultative services to ensure compliance with IEPs and district guidelines Maintain thorough and timely documentation of interventions and progress Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school community
