Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Experience in hospital-based therapy, ideally with critical illness and rehabilitation patients Strong understanding of patient and staff safety practices Demonstrated ability to work effectively on interdisciplinary teams Supervisory and mentoring experience with students and new hires is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement effective therapy based on physician orders and patient needs Promote safety awareness, adhering to protocols for patient handling, environmental hazards, and infection control Participate actively in team meetings, patient discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration Oversee and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and students Maintain detailed, timely documentation complying with hospital and department standards Educate patients and families, ensuring an understanding of treatment plans and equipment usage Uphold superior service and ethics in all patient and peer interactions
