1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 36-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Longview, TX specializing in neurological, orthopedic, and complex diagnoses. Details Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting with 36 beds dedicated to acute rehabilitation Occupational Therapy department serving adult and geriatric populations Patient caseload ratio of 5 to 6 patients per therapist Wide variety of diagnoses including CVA, Parkinson's, spinal cord injury, TBI, orthopedics, cardiopulmonary conditions, amputation, and medically complex cases Day shift, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Weekend hours required on an as-needed basis Wellsky EHR system Therapeutic equipment used throughout treatment sessions No floating or on-call requirements Requirements Current, active OT license (license required if applicable) Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field Current
AHA BLS/CPR
certification required Ability to assess patient needs and initiate appropriate OT interventions Strong oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages preferred Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Assess patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans addressing short- and long-term goals Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to maintain standards for professional OT practice Observe and evaluate treatment effectiveness, recommending adjustments to the physician as needed Cooperative, team-oriented personality is important for this role Navy blue scrubs required Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Candidates must not be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
