Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity delivering essential occupational therapy services to students across a cluster of schools in the Houston area. This is a full-time, on-site position (35 hours/week) for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students ages 3-21 with a focus on both consultative and direct therapy services. You'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams while working within a dedicated zone, minimizing commute times as much as possible. As the lead OT, you'll be responsible for evaluations, attending ARDs, and delivering targeted therapy—no supervision of COTAs required (though experienced COTAs are welcome to apply). Your caseload will prioritize manageable numbers for direct services, generally about 30-40 students, while also supporting consults across your assigned schools.
Ideal Qualifications & Experience:
Current, active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Texas Experience in school-based OT required Available and committed to a full-time schedule (35 hours/week) Skilled in conducting age-appropriate assessments and providing interventions for students ages 3-21 Proficient in managing documentation using the SHARES system, Onward software, and maintaining excel logs for IEPs Strong teamwork, communication, and organization skills Prior experience with ARD meeting participation
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations and reassessments Deliver consult-only and direct OT services per IEP requirements Document all interventions and progress per district protocols Attend and contribute to ARD meetings, collaborating on student goals Maintain compliance with all licensing, credentialing, and fingerprinting requirements Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday, on-site schedule (typically 8-4 or 7:30-3:30).
